In response to an ever growing number of Formula Ford Zetec cars being run in various UK club racing championships, the central ‘just for fun’ challenge cup for FFZetec cars, the West Kingsdown Cup, has been taking place at Brands Hatch this this season.

The West Kingsdown Cup will be presented at the 2010 Formula Ford Festival to the Zetec driver scoring the most points across six nominated races at Brands Hatch circuit, with four rounds completed the top 6 in the points table are :

1 John Whitbourn 78
2 Mark Edwards 40
3 Matt Hayes 36
4 Paul Presgraves 26
5 Julian Hoskins 20

Racing has been close with John Whitbourn emerging as the front runner with one round and two races left to go. Only DNFs can deny John the first West Kingsdown Cup and exciting plans for 2011 are already being drawn up and will be announced during the Autumn, to give yet more opportunities to current, and future, zetec owners and drivers

The final two rounds are being held on 12th September during the SEMSEC run meeting, and more drivers are anticipated to join in in during the run up to the Formula Ford Festival in October.
